Rex Crowle (that's me!) stands next to some similar looking graffiti.

Ahoy.

In my 20+ year career I’ve designed, animated, lead teams and collaborated with others to create and develop new worlds, characters and ways to interact with them.

I want to always make experiences which are covered in the fingerprints of the team that created them. It’s everyones personalities and interests that make the creation process far more interesting and leads to a more memorable and creative conclusion.

Although I’ve mostly made digital things, I still want people to be able to feel them, as if they were holding something tangible and handmade.

What’s that mean? Well, in the case of games, it’s building worlds that are extremely responsive to the players input and encourage players be playful and inquisitive. Worlds with memorable characters that draw players in with stories that go deeper than they expect. And I want to reignite creativity in an audience, inspiring them with handcrafted visuals that they can add to it with their own customisations and creativity. So that they’ll be able to inspire me in return!

Flicking through some of my notebook/sketchbooks, this one was created during the later stages of development on Knights And Bikes.

Currently I’m taking some time-out to work on personal projects. But I’m available for particularly interesting opportunities, especially weird left-field things. You can contact me here.
